Privacy

The short version: no accounts, no forms, no advertising. The site counts visits with Google Analytics, but only if you accept its cookies. If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded and no cookie is set. Cloudflare, the host, also counts page views, without cookies and without identifying anyone; that is described below. There is nothing here to sell.

What is stored on your device

Your choices are saved in your own browser and never sent anywhere:

• uaef-clubs — the clubs you have starred
• uaef-lang — English or Arabic
• uaef-theme — light or dark, once you have chosen
• uaef-old, uaef-avg — the state of two display toggles
• uaef-consent — whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies
• uaef-live — the latest live scores, so a refresh during a match shows them at once
• uaef-club — an older name for your starred club, read once and then removed

These are browser storage, not cookies, which means they are never attached to a request and never leave the machine you are reading on. Clearing your browser's site data for nateeja.football erases all of them, and nothing is kept anywhere else.

Analytics cookies

When you first open the site, a banner asks you to accept or decline analytics cookies. If you accept, the page loads Google Analytics, which sets cookies whose names start with _ga and tells Google which pages you opened, roughly where from, and on what kind of device. We use that to see how many people read the site and which pages they read. We do not see who you are, and the site asks for nothing that would tell us.

If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded. You can change your choice at any time: cookie settings. Declining after accepting switches it off and removes its cookies.

What a page loads

Apart from Cloudflare's page-view counter, described below, and Google Analytics once you accept, nothing from anyone else. The crests, the fonts and the data are all part of the page itself.

Links that leave the site

A few do. A fixture's ground opens Google Maps, Add to calendar opens Google Calendar, and the footer links out to X and Instagram. Those are ordinary outbound links: only if you click one does that company see a request from you, and their terms apply from that point, not ours.

What the host sees

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it processes technical information, your IP address, which page was asked for, which browser asked, in order to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse. That is standard server logging, it happens on every site you visit, and it is not used here to build a picture of anyone.

Cloudflare also adds a small page-view counter, Cloudflare Web Analytics, to every page. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device, and it tells us only how many times each page was opened and roughly from where, never who opened it. It runs whether or not you accept analytics cookies, because it does not use any.

If you write in

Your message and your address arrive in an inbox, forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing. They are kept only as long as they are useful for dealing with what you wrote. They are not added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.

Sharing

Nothing is sold or rented. The only data that leaves the site is the visit counting above: Cloudflare's cookie-free count on every visit, and Google Analytics only if you accept it.

Everyone, of any age

The site asks for nothing from anybody, and treats a child's visit like anyone else's: counted only if accepted, never identified.

Changes

If any of this stops being true, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
